Faunsdale, AL | For that kind of use, if the rollers don’t fall out on the ground, there is no obvious chipping on either race or rollers and you can reassemble it and adjust the clearance you’re good to go.
Now if it’s a rear axle bearing you probably should look up the specified method of setting the preload and follow it and not reuse any bearing that’s at all questionable.
I have a 4440 Deere that the rear axle leaked transmission fluid for years despite being disassembled by an experienced mechanic several times and seal and bearings changed. Finally did it myself following the specified procedure and it’s been good since. Did I just get lucky? I doubt it, I think his way wasn’t correct.
