South Central, IL | For dutchdirtfarmer. Picture a nice flat field like one in picture. Off to left and right is where original ground level was, middle section that is sunk is where coal is mined out. Panels are usually 1,200 ft wide. Ground sinks 5-8 feet. Pretty good way to screw up flat farmland.
