SE MN | Right. And this isn't the only approach we took. I have tried multiple other ways of application. Ultimately we decided not to pursue the insecticide box route because we didn't have it on our main planter. The only reason I brought it up was that the OP asked if anyone had run fert through an insecticide box. I had and thought I would share my experience and how we applied. I wasn't saying don't do it.
