 Central Alberta | You can do it, and it probably won't reduce your yield, but if the rows are too wide apart, it will take longer to mature.
Canola is not very sensitive to seeding density. Anywhere from 4 pounds per acre, right up to 10 will yield about the same.
When you seed it too light, the plants grow bigger and take longer to mature, but they yield about the same per acre.
