I always go against the grain so to speak and it has done me well.
I am in the same boat as SED. Trying to do that here when no one else is running.
Crop insurance will take care of my potential mistake, that is why we have it.
I have only had one small claim in the last six crops when I planted wheat in the fall of 05.
Could be a preventive planting cover crop, I don't know.
