Nw Iowa | Illinois Kris, what about all the coal plants that have been shuddered or tore down because of Regs? Plant was just tore down in our local town, our electrical coop has enjoyed some independence because of membership in large coal burning plant in Dakotas that is being shut down or is already closed. You would have to put your head in the sand to not recognize it. We have windmills in our area ( have sold off some wind rights) but I can’t imagine that they are more efficient when you combine not turning percentage, cost to maintain etc. Electric cars have a place but I could not keep cell phone charged for very long sitting in my pickup when 20 below, can’t imagine my car! Our country has a lot of great natural resources, oil, coal, wind, sun etc, let’s not get so all one side side of boat that we tip over. | |
