Texas | The food inside the refrigerator/ freezer in the kitchen was warming up since there was no electricity. I have a large freezer in the back of the garage and that part of the house isn’t heated. There was room to put all the frozen stuff inside that freezer. Already had a bunch of frozen food items and ice packs in there. But the other items I could leave out in open boxes and styrofoam coolers inside the garage. The outside temperature has been in the single digits close to zero. It’s staying well below freezing inside the unheated garage.
Late last night the power came back on briefly and then this morning it has stayed on longer. If it stays on for good I will only need to put the boxed food items back in the refrigerator that were moved to the garage. But there’s no hurry since it’s not expected to warm up much for a couple more days.
