Subject: RE: Phantom yield loss

Nebraska, The land of corn and cattle

Olsnfrms - 1/13/2021 21:32 I totally agree and am a true believer in Phantom yield loss every year. I'd pick all my corn at 22-24% every year if it would work out that way. For the non-believers you fooling yourself to think it really isn't that bad to let it dry in the field. I had a buddy that said he noticed 30- bushel this year with no wind event included. It's real and it's BIG.

Ok, Ill bite, if he truly lost 30 bushel, where did it go? Ill agree theres a little more head loss and some more kernel grinding, but theres no way its 30bu. Ill bet its in his yield monitor.
