+1 majority of our corn this year was 15-16%. I am convinced we lost 15 bushel vs picking when it was 22-25% like we usually do. First field we harvested was 14.5% on October 6. Should have been at it sooner, but stuck with the beans since they were 10%
If it cost 3.5 cents per point per bushel to dry, you made more money taking the yield loss (figuring price at harvest) than you did picking it early with the extra 15 bu. |
