You mean from wet bu to dry? Im sorry but I cannot believe that, not calling you a liar but it has to be somewhere.
You can count me as a phantom loss nonbeliever. We dont dry anything, even if it goes in a bin we dont start until its 18 or under, so I cannot see where anyone can lose more than 5bu unless you had a weather event or the hybrid slipped ears bad, like 1197 does. Even more than 2bu on the ground and it looks like theres corn EVERYWHERE.
Personally I think the "loss" has to be in the formulas used to convert from wet to dry bushels, yield monitor fudge factors, etc.
If you have 240bu corn when its at 15.5% in the field, assuming everything was perfect, you always had 240 bu corn, not 265 for example. |
