| We demoed a 40' in 2019 over approx 150 -200 ac. Currently run a 40' Macdon. One we demoed was new & settup by a factory rep. If you have hilly ground they're probably worth the extra money but on our flat & slightly rolls fields we didn't see much difference compared to our Macdon.
They have a lot going on at the back of the head. We had a couple sensors go bad, dealer didn't have any on hand & by the time they got them in we were done using it. We also broke a sickle sectionon the double drives in the center, different than rest of the sections. Repair kit that came with head only had the regular sections.
OurnMacdon dealer also sells Grringhof corn heads but refuses to sell their drapers, claims they are too complicated so we demoed one from another dealer., We were really wanted to demo one with their air system but this one didn't have it. | |
