Bow Island, Alberta | Combined some irrigated canola today that stood through Saturday's wind warning and some is still standing this evening when we have another wind warning in SE AB. Could not find a single pod that broke open, except on the outside edge of the field where the crop was really thin. Some was sprayed with PodCeal and some wasn't. No difference. There may be differences in varieties, just as there is with wheat. Guys with canola in the swath definitely had losses. | |
