NC Kansas | I think so for a while. I built a copy in shop class back in '97-98. Couple guys had them in town we used for a pattern, one was deweze and one Besler but they were the same. We beefed it up anywhere it was bent/cracked and dad ran it for 25 years. Attached to a Jensen flatbed broke the frame on an 85 chevy eventually then moved it a 97 single wheel 3500 until the transmission started giving problems and we sold it. They get the job done, wouldn't call them a POS but they aren't the same as an integrated bed either. It wasn't something you would easily take on and off as needed, we always had multiple farm pickups around some with and without flatbeds so it wasn't a bother to get a different pick up for a different task. You could pull a livestock trailer with these no problem.
