the Angus beef thing is one of the greatest cons ever pulled on the American consumer.
I used to think this, too, but now that I’ve been buying cattle and feeding them in addition to the ones I raise (mostly F1 baldies) I have come to the realization that the Angus breed is playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers. The best doing calves are always black from nose to tail. I love my black baldies but it’s true. My opinion after 5 years of feeding a little of this and a little of that.
I did try to buy some red angus again this year, haven’t got that done yet. My money isn’t green enough west of state road 13 here in northern Indiana. ;) |
