We did the exact thing 3 years ago with a NH 9040 to a newer and lower houred NH 9070.Use with a 8 row corn head. Don't regret it-plusses are never slow down unloading on the go-drawback is long unloading auger when opening lands with in corn, burn more fuel? maybe-do you notice it-no. It was at least $20,000 cheaper to buy bigger combine over same size we traded.
