Put up the fence and open the gate. Unless the corn was in an extreme drought and was a total failure don’t worry about nitrates, cows won’t eat the stalks anyway unless grazed way to long, pick the husks and leaves first. If you don’t find much corn on ground won’t be any issues there either. Let em go!
