We have been dealing with this issue since spring tillage thru fall work that we are still at. Clean the air filter run couple hours then code come up. Not dusty out. A new sensor has been installed. Wiring checks out to the best of our knowledge. We have also installed a loaner ecm that is known to be good. No change, code still come up. Is not derating the engine. JD 9460R. Code appears for 30-40 seconds then gone. Can anybody help?
Are the filters actually dirty or just an erroneous error code?
If they’re dirty...
Does that model have the blue suitcase/cartridge style filters? If so, we never had any luck cleaning them. I’m fairly certain you’re not supposed to even try to clean them. Always just replaced them. Problem being, they are expensive.
That being said, I’d make sure the aspirator system if performing as it should as well.
We had four of that model tractor, and in the dusty summer fallow we’d get 60-100 hours out of a filter. It was almost painful changing them all once a week!
Deere changed the design on the 9470R tractors and they run much longer before replacement.
