NW Washington
First B-52 flight was in 1952, 68 years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_B-52_Stratofortress
I read last night that the F-15 fighter is going back in production for a few more new models. The airplanes are older than the pilots.
I know that in some Navy planes that metal fatigue gets to be an issue in old airplanes, especially in critical areas like wing beams and structural areas.
