Thumb of Michigan | I make some every summer to add a little zing with corn post.
I have a pallet scale so cheating a bit. Also, I use rainwater collected in tank, its warmer than well water and that speeds up process.
I cut the top off a 265 gallon tote, put 300 lbs urea in and fill with 150 gallon water, let sit for couple hours. Then I agitate from top( face shield is important ) with 1.5" hose with 3/4 reducer to make pressure. Agitate until full. Then pump out through bottom using filter before pump.
The solution will cool itself so warm water helps, if you have a hot water power washer that would be easiest
I usually put 5-10 gallon of solution on corn with herbicide. If hot and sunny run less, if evening I'll push 10-12 gallon. I figure about 1 pound n per gallon | |
