Northern CA | When I was between good tractors two years ago, I ran a MF 2170XD Single Axle with a White 2-135 Series III, MWFD. It did it OK. More tractor would have been better, but I baled quite a bit of hay that week. You will do better in thicker hay. It takes power to go fast. In thick hay, power was fine. When I tried to go over 7 mph, I was a little short on power. My 135 has a fairly fresh engine with a larger turbo. I think it is strong. Neighbors run a 4900 with a 4440 and have for years. | |
