Southwest Illinois | We used a 24' flat bottom bin as a wet bin for year. Definitely need a good power sweep. After 10 years or so we put a cone under that bin which gets us to about 10K. It works well but when we went to a bigger dryer I wish we have 15K of wet storage. If you have to dry corn every year get the dryer first. If it isn't every year then get the big bin up. We put a lot of 18 to 19% corn in 48' bins with plenty of air and it works well. | |
