I agree with this. I love to make pies, but if I have to buy the apples to make a deep dish apple pie, it can cost $8 or more just to make it. And pecans are not inexpensive either. For me, it is easier, faster, and less expensive, to make a French silk pie than a fruit pie...no peeling or slicing.
