Depends on where you are looking.  Last week 600# steers were $1.06 - $1.12 and heifers were right around $1.01.  I haven't seen any postings for this week yet.  Last year 600# steers started September at $1.23 and ended the month at $1.10.  A little lower than last year, but it could be worse.
