I wonder. I had someone with experience do my freeze branding several years ago. Only thing they did diff, was to scrub the hide with a stiff brush, while washing with the alcohol. I thought it was to get the dirt/oil out of the hide. I've also scrubbed after cutting the hair short. Wonder if there is a reason to scrub or not.  ?
