NC South Dakota | Sounds like u farm soils just like some of mine. Low and average spots of the field are great, hills are sand so its a 0 for yield in a dry year..... like this year, and will have 200+ bushel in the honey holes.
I don't know if it will ever really pay but I am having the manure hauler spread "As Thick as he can on the hills" and just a little on the other ground.
Its got to help over time, right? That is my only idea.
Just trying to minimize loss on those acres..... Exactly like Goose said.
