In order to efficiently do what your talking about you need to create accurate zones and address each zone appropriately. Everyone gets hung up on "poor" zones. Find out what makes each zone unique, its quirks, then do what's best for that situation. If you can improve it without going broke, great. If not, then cut back if you can't get an roi.
Your ph is going to be different, that means you need to vrt fert for each zone. Vrt seeding can cut costs, increase costs, reduce water inefficiency, help manage salts, manipulate the plant growth, equalize cob diameter, equalize bean maturity.........
Yes you can benefit greatly from vrt.
If you have succeeded in making the poor spots equal the rest of the field, congratulations! you have failed the rest of your field
And yet that's why so many think vrt is to make a field even. I like a 100-200 bushel divide or more from top to bottom... each zone needs to be thought of as it's own field. Yield goal....cost.....net profit etc... |
