Did you leave them in a windrow to cure for a couple days first? Pods split open in the process of being lifted by the pickup head? I can certainly envision the old 1480 being able to process a lot of beans when not hamstrung by the constraints of header related issues, thus becoming feeder house issues also. IE plugging.
