Mine is rated for 90 but it would have to be a light motor because the transom is already sagging with a old 50hp johnson. No way could I put a modern 4 stroke 90 on it, it would end up at the bottom of the lake. I guess it depends on the boat, and age. I idle mine for a while and it seems ok, it will stumble a bit till it "cleans out".
