There is no crossover hose on bottom. Both hoses to both tanks come out the top. Yes maybe I am over thinking.

Buddy had a tank leaking
got it off and welded
after it was put back on he had to watch because
sometimes it would not stay evan on both sides he had 1/4 turn valves he could switch to even it out
