Eastern Shore of MD | I 've noticed... if you want to be happy with your crop just look at it late in the afternoon with the sun at your back, it will make you feel good. Just do not pay attention late morning or early afternoon when facing the sun.
It is my understanding Greenseeker measures chlorophyll and biomass then translates that information into NDVI (normal differential vegetative index) for quantifying. It is a good picture of where crop is at moment of use and a fair predictor of the future but on our soils you can still have drought later and so would have over applied N with Greenseeker as it can not anticipate that event. Generally at the time of application it recognizes your poor (low growth) areas very well that will never have full yield potential. | |
