1. First to use four piece band consisting of lead guitar, rhythm guitar, drums and bass.
2. First singer/songwriter to be involved in all aspects of his music including arranging and record production.
3. One of first to world tour in England, Australia and Hawaii.
4. One of the first to utilize overdubbing and multitrack recording years before anyone else.
5. Innovative techniques in sound production using card board boxes and slapping knees on song tracks as well as organs.
