Beatles
I'm pretty sure they hold the record for sales.
Add to that they were only together for something like nine years.
I think "The Eagles" greatest hits album surpassed the Beatles. 2 things I can't and won't listen to...........the Beatles and Patsy Cline. Both make me wanna stab pencils in my ears!
Perhaps for a single album, but I'm pretty sure for total album sales the Beatles are still number one.
