yes. Also noticed after I jumped it that the battery light would come on if over 1000 rpm, but turn off under 1000rpm.
Ok, you will think I am crazy, but i did everything but jump mine (dt225b) and it did the same as you. Had new batteries, so i ruled them out. Once in a while it would not start, then would fire right up. Finally would not start at all and everyone i described the details to said it had to be the starter. So put on new starter and same thing. But I just happen to notice the crank pully turn slightly when son hit key. Took serpentine belt off and it fired right up. Ended up being a bearing locked up in one of the alternators (belive the one on the right side) No one had ever heard of such a thing, but that is what it was and decided the random not starting was the bearing getting bad and occasionally sticking.
Might try taking the belt off and seeing what happens.
Your funny battery light might be a sign of a alternator doing something goofy too.
