North Western Alberta | Kristina, it sounds to me like you are doing it pretty much exactly right! Just keep communicating and telling her that money has to be earned, and there is only so much of it... so you cant just spend all of it. For all you know, her parents might be telling her that you might buy her things. I admire you for doing the mentoring program. I keep thinking Id like to become a "Big Brother" but my nephews are enough for me right now. Someday though, Id like to do as you are, cause there are plenty of kids out there that need some positive influence in thier lives. | |
