Red states are not being "hammered". A few of them have spikes. Some heavy D states have spikes also. MN is heavily long term D controlled. We have more cases and deaths than IA, SD, ND, NE combined which are Red states.

Maybe its time to let governments at all levels go broke once so they are forced to decide where money truly needs to be spent. After that, a tax limit as a % of GDP or some other factor needs to be implemented. Our debt and tax problems will never end when an entity has the unlimited ability to forcibly take money and and endlessly spend it with no checks or limits.
