I have run into a couple customers with an extended warranty on their cars in my shop. After the first company that told me where I had to buy my parts, what I could charge for them and what my labor was going to be, I told anyone who had such a warranty they had to pay the bill and get reimbursed from their warranty.
Same deal with insurance companies.
