Hillsdale Co. Michigan
Any of the IFSI Xtra Tender series... The next generation stuff such as 2170, 2171, 2573, 2673 are out of this world. Also grew an IFSI augmented Sh2 this year from Rispen called Sweet Surprise... making some huge ears... 9 x 2 3/4 that are incredibly sweet and tender.... Also grew 2573 and with enough moisture, proper spacing and enough nitrogen has done really well... Some of the best eating around. I eat more raw out of the field than I do cooked... Literally like candy.

I sell local farmers' market and roadside I have no issue offloading 100+ dozen @ premium prices in under 4 hours and that much again through-out the week off of the stand... week after week... I cannot count the number of times I've been told it is the best corn that person has ever eaten. I actually have people travel from out of state, 30 - 40 miles to buy from me.

Don't take me word on it... try one of the varieties next year... run you about $6/ 1000 + shipping from Siegers, Rupp, Rispen, Jordan...

Only negative is that it stinks for freezing. Unless you let it get over ripe and a bit "tough". Otherwise it turns to mush on your plate, especially if it is young.
