Subject: Re: Sweet Corn Varieties???

High Springs, Florida
Some of the best supersweets come from Illinois Foundation Seeds, but are marketed by others. I believe they "invented" the SH2 varieties. Some of the "hottest" varieties are the Extra Tender or Gourmet Sweet varieties, which are numbered. GS277A is my favorite. Rupp, Harris, Stokes, Rispen all carry them. A nice yellow that I really like is an SE called "Honey Select". I get my seed for that variety from Seedway. The Mirai varieties have been touted in the press lately. I have never tried any, may next season.
