Drink water from the Bearpaw shale.

Here if you are lucky you can get Cypress Hills water from glacial lenses and it is high quality water but may contain a fair bit of calcium. Seismic has been hard on water quality and quantity- drained a lot of lenses and also allowed good and poor water to mix.

Our yard has the mentioned BPS water , high in manganese and sulfates- about 2800 ppm dissolved solids, also some iron. Lucky we don't live in Alberta- wouldn't be fit for human consumption there!

The softener removes the manganese and iron but I never have been able to have a failsafe system- about the time the wife goes to wash the whites, the iron comes through.

Use bottled water for drinking,
