SW Ontario | You’re in the P5 system correct?
Fluid demand up huge and milk goes there first. Quebec is really short. A lot of milk moving from south western Ontario into Quebec right now.
Some plants, cheese and further processing, are caught between a stone and a hard place. One, fluid gets milk first so they get reduced loads anyways. Two, depending who they sold to, orders are up (retail sales) or no existing in the last 2 weeks (hotels, schools, restaurants). Ice cream is another one up in the air. April and May is beginning of that season. How much will actually sell (in store vs ice cream outlets on a hot day)?
If a plant shuts down, milk at this time will get moved around in the P5. There might be a time in the future, when a huge dip comes and then skimming or dumping might happen.
