You act like a couple percent isn't a big deal...experts expect 80-150 million people to contract covid 19. 1% of that is 800,000-1.5 million people who could die. And it's not just the weak who are susceptible, someone who is young and completely health could die from this.
Your immune system is a terrible "vaccine" for viruses that are completely new. Look at the spanish flu for example, that was influenza where 17-50 million people died. And that was in 1918. Look at influenza now, its not a major problem now because there is a vaccine for it.
Also your normandy reference is pointless, there they knew what they were going into and could see the enemy. You cannot see covid19, you cant do anything to stop it either.
Right. Because you can stop a wall of bullets. You should be ashamed. 17 yr olds willingly forfeited their lives in a foreign land for people they never saw. And you’re upset about some 80 year olds? I bet those 80 yr olds will willingly give their lives also when the time comes. . This is nothing by comparison.
Do some reading and I don’t mean the daily media. When 80-90% show no or mild symptoms I would argue the immune system is pretty darn good. It does exactly what nature intended....it saves the strong and sacrifices the weak.
If you’re at risk, Stop your whining and make out your will. |
