 I wanted to mount a 450 base at the home farm during regular farming seasons and be able to hit all the fields, and be able to use it on custom excavating projects further out.  

I have Cors in the tractors but thought it'd be nice to do it all with a 450 base.  Only a flat 5 mile farming spread but there's patches of trees and buildings all over, I am guessing a 900 wont cut thru all the time.  

Kind of one of those deals of trying to make something expensive be more useful. I could use 900 repeaters but cors is cheaper. 

For reference, they wanted $550 to register a frequency, and $275 for renewal every 10 years.
