I started the winter feeding hay in a Meyer wagon and moving it around. Ok when things are frozen but now with rain and melting snow there is a layer of wet mush that I can only get out flipping the trailer over. Wagon is hard to move in the mud. It seems better to leave the small amount of hay left on the ground and just move the feeders. The bale cradle shown hasn't been moved for awhile but my rings are moved every time I put out fresh hay. Very little waste, I'd estimate less than 1% of my very dense, heavy bales. Cows will lick most of it off of the ground.
