what if you don't have any yield history of your farm that is irrigated and you have to use the county average. Is ACRE still a good thing?
My local FSA office has calculators to run scenarios. If you don't have a history, they can use the plug yields to see, but my guess is that it won't be attractive if you are in a corn/soybean rotation. Being forced to use plug yields only means taking a big hit. Plug yields are 95% of the county average for the year you use. |
