Another nail in the coffin for those that don't sign up for ACRE and rent the majority of the ground they farm in this part of IL. Really can't understand why any farmer in this county would not sign up for ACRE and carry GRIP. There are still guys in Macoupin County, that will not carry GRIP after the track recoed it has had since 2004. From the way things are looking GRIP and ACRE will add another $300 or more per acre to the bottom line on corn in Macoupin County.



I get kind of stubborn and set in my ways at times. Said from the get go wasn't going to sign up for ACRE, because it was too difficult to understand and not worth the hassle.


Finally made up my mind to set down and figure the ACRE program out a couple weeks ago, didn't take long to see, it was a nobrainer to sign up. Mistake I made was not looking at this program earlier and using the new entity rules to my advantage.
