Somebody can correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that ACRE price is not a flat average of prices for 12 months. But weighted on when the majority of sales are made. Bids at local elevator tonight is $3.08 for fall corn to $3.21 for Jan 2010. Equates to a $3.14 average price for the first 1/3 of the marketing year. This time period is one of largest for corn sales.
