Northeast Nebraska and Candelaria Philippines | I'll say this.... we've gotten half an inch of rain in the last 6 weeks. The dryland corn has the kernel count to make 200 bu an acre. It better rain soon though. Everyone is yelling higher yields because 1. the hybrids are superior compared to what we had even a few years ago 2. better farming practices. As the little guys that don't know how to farm go broke, the next operator takes over the farm and the yields instantly improves 50 bu an acre. see it over and over again. |
