I use a pair of powerline adapters for this. Mine are TP-Link model TL-PA4010 and I bought them on Ebay for $25 a pair or so. One end is plugged into a wall outlet with an ethernet cable to my router. The end in my shop is also plugged into a wall outlet with an ethernet cable to a second router with WIFI. I mainly did this in order to have a security camera system installed at the shop but it's been handy for other things too. There is some speed degradation but hasn't been a problem for my usage. Both buildings must be on the same electric transformer.
I wonder whether these adapters work better if they are both plugged into the same side of the line. We used D-Link ethernet over powerline adapters and they were very sensitive to distance. I don't think 600' would have been doable with those. Later we did direct burial CAT5 ethernet cable which has worked well for us.
