Hillsdale Co. Michigan | In the state of Michigan..... You MUST be a registered and licensed "caregiver" in order to grow pot for medicinal purposes. A "caregiver" will have a minimum of one and a maximum of 5 people registered to them who have, by doctors order, been given the green light to use medical marijuana. For each patient attached to a caregiver, the caregiver may only grow a maximum of 12 plants at any one time (total of 60 plants for 5 patients). Also, for each patient the caregiver may only possess 2 1/2 ounces of finished product at any time. All plants must be grown in an indoor location that is well secured. A "caregiver" licensed by the state is indemnified from arrest and prosecution for securing seeds, marijuana and other stuff related to the production of finished product.
I looked into this after the law passed but it is way too big of a PITA to do... You aren't selling the stuff at a huge premium. It is disallowed in the law from what I gather. You are allowed to reclaim your costs and get paid for your time more or less. | |
