Went from Galesburg to Carbondale this weekend. Starting a little north of Litchfield you can see anything from corn tasseling that looks very good to 1' tall corn. Probably less than half is tasseled. Many fields of corn look bad. Very uneven from 2' to 6' tall in the same field and very late. Beans are all short with a lot of uneven stands. It's hard to tell the difference between second crop beans and others. I don't know if it's better or worse than I thought it would be, but it's not pretty.
